If your iPhone has not been able to back up since Monday, the fix for that is now available.
To make sure you get a full copy of your data onto your phone, here’s what to do:
In the Goodbudget iPhone app, pull down on the Envelopes tab to back up
You’ll know it worked if
“Last backup” shows your current time
Your recent transaction history on the web and iPhone are consistent
Adding a transaction on web or iPhone backs up to the other place (or across 2 iPhones)
If you’re on Android and can’t back up, we’re working on a parallel fix. If you still have other issues that you noticed since Monday, you can see status updates for other fixes here
Again, we are sincerely sorry for the trouble! And thank you for your patience as we worked to resolve this issue.
@Matt_Edwards We’ve had a few folks say that after getting version 5.4.22 on their iPhone, they still had issues backing up. The following worked for them, so please try it on your phones:
Open the Goodbudget app, and alternately tap back and forth between the Envelopes tab and the Transactions tab
If the information on the Transaction tab changes, (e.g. you see a few more transactions after tapping back and forth a few times), this means the backup is still in progress
Continue to leave the app open as the rest of your Transaction history loads – don’t close it, don’t go to another app. (For households that have large amounts of transaction history and logged out recently, this can take 10 minutes or more to get a full copy of their entire history.)
As you wait, you can see the transaction history continue to load by tapping back and forth between the Envelopes tab and Transactions tab
