I download a CSV file each week from my checking account and download it into the appropriate page. I wish that we could set up a preferred format, rather than having to indicate each week that I want to see the Date/Name/Amount.

At this time, Goodbudget is focusing on a pending transactions feature. You are always welcome to see what we are currently working on and dreaming about by going to our Roadmap. For now, I have added your wish to set up a preferred format when importing bank transactions.

also check if your bank download options provide QFX or other common formats. I used the CSV option for a long time because I was familiar with it and did not have Quicken or anything else, and I too got tired of specifying the columns every time. Then one day I realized my bank also provides QFX files and GB not only understands the files perfectly but also internally logs transaction identifiers so reloading the same file again will never create duplicates
