Searching precise text thread (aaa vs aaab)

Transaction 1 contains a note, “aaab”
Transaction 2 contains a note, “aaa”

When searching for aaa both Transactions 1 & 2 return.

I am looking for a way to search for transactions that contain “aaa” (Transaction 2 only) without returning “aaab” AND “aaa”.

Because aaab contains ‘aaa’ both will return.

Although it doesn’t answer your question exactly, you may want to consider using tags instead of notes. A tag can be sorted on its own, rather than searched from all entries, and each tag can be unique.
