Review and Save (step 3 in filling envelopes)

It appears that the “Review and Save” (step 3 in filling envelopes) doesn’t work when I am editing a scheduled envelope filling set up.( I’m not talking about a brand new filling envelopes situation.) It doesn’t seem to tell me if I have the correct amount distributed compared to my total amount like it used to do. Am I missing something or doesn’t that work in an editing situation? Thanks for any help!

Hi @ARupert,

The Amount Filled will only show at the time you’re creating the Fill when Goodbudget calculates the Amount Filled as if you were posting the Fill at that point. This also means that Goodbudget won’t show you the Amount filled until the Fill actually posts.

When you’re editing a scheduled Fill, Goodbudget won’t actually know your Amount Filled since it’s dependent on what your Envelope balances will be on that future date, so it’s left blank.

Also, when I update an upcoming scheduled fill, I’m assuming my edits will also apply to all other future scheduled fills after that as well,(as long as I hit the update button) correct? Thank you for your help. I love using Goodbudget!
