I was looking at the reports of spending vs. envelope and there I can see if I have a negative amount. When I look at spending by month, negative amounts show up as zero. Why not show the actual amount, or if you don’t want it in the chart then at least make it show up in the numbers below.
On the topic of reports. I’ve been using Goodbudget since 2017 and to be honest, they haven’t really changed much.
Hi @jonrob - Thanks for your post! You’re right, there are differences in how some reports handle negative spending (i.e. when an Envelope has had more credits added to it than expenses). The Spending by Envelope will show negative spending as a negative amount, while the Spending by Month report will show a even 0.00.
We’re not working on changing how the reports display this kind of spending, but we’ve noted your feedback.
