Reconciling indicates double the amount

Hi,

I am trying to reconcile an account that only has 5 transactions. It had an existing balance prior to starting Goodbudget. When reconciling, i entered the previous balance and the statement date. The statement balance is the current balance. When i clear the transactions, it shows double the amount of the transaction amounts.
Example: Previous balance is $50. Transaction totals $15. Current Balance is $35. Transactions are cleared. Left to Clear indicates total of -$30.

I’m not sure what is going on. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi!

Is this your first time reconciling? If so, enter 0 as the previous balance. Goodbudget doesn’t reconcile against your bank balance, but rather against your last reconciled amount. If it’s the first time, that’s 0.
