Something happened to change my payment account to an old bank debit card, so the payment failed and I got a message that my bank account was unlinked. After I fixed the payment issue and removed that old account, everything looked right. However, I’m now about six days behind on imported bank transactions, and I can only find how to relink an account for the mobile app, which I don’t use. Please remind me how to relink on the website.
Hi @cmerzut - Sorry for the trouble! You can add your bank connections by following these steps:
How to Link Accounts:
- Head to the Accounts tab and click on the ‘Add/Edit’ button
- Click the ‘Edit’ button next to the Account you’d like to link > ‘Add Bank Connection’
- Follow Plaid’s prompts to select your bank and enter your username and password (Note: that your bank may require additional authentication via a code or some other method before the connection process is complete)
- When you get to the step where you select which bank accounts you’d like to share with Goodbudget, be sure to select all of them in this step
- Once you’re redirected back to Goodbudget, use the ‘Link to Bank Account’ dropdown to select the bank account you’d like to link with the Goodbudget Account you’re editing
- Click ‘Save Changes’ when you’re done
In case this helps, you can see some videos and images of the linking process in this help guide here: https://goodbudget.com/help/automatic-bank-sync/how-do-i-link-my-bank-accounts-to-goodbudget/
Hope that helps!
