No web-sync currently - we 3 users can't update to 2.24 and stuck on 2.15 because Android 8 and 9 no longer supported

Hi there, it’s really sad to see that we obviously can’t use goodbudget on our 3 devices anymore due to some recent bug that’s only fixed for versions > 2.15 (last compatible with Android 8 and what we are running). Versions > 2.15 need Android 10 and we are not able to upgrade :frowning:

Will there be a solution? I am afraid we then have to move away from goodbudget which would be really sad :-((

Please provide some fix for 2.15 at least :folded_hands:

I am a developer myself so I would be happy to assist if it helps.

Hi @Arche - Thanks for your post, and sorry for the disruption our recent maintenance has caused you!

Unfortunately, we’re not going to be able to provide a solution to support phones running Android 8. In order to keep Goodbudget safe, and to stay aligned with Google’s current protocols, we chose to stop supporting Android 9 and earlier with a previous version of the app (version 2.15 released December 2023). At this point, we support Android 10 (released in 2019) and up.

You can, however, continue to use Goodbudget via the website, but we understand that may be insufficient, and we sincerely apologize we cannot provide a workaround at this time.
