I have linked and re-linked my bank accounts, and they successfully connect. However, Beyond the initial time of synchronization, no new transactions have appeared in Goodbudget, even though several days worth have been processed on my Actual Bank’s site.
I can understand not importing my Pending bank transactions, but many completed ones still do not show up. Am I supposed to click a button or something to make them appear in Goodbudget?
Goodbudget will sync your new transactions only after they’ve cleared in your bank first. So when you make a new purchase on the real-life account, it will take a few business days for that transaction to clear in your bank and then for your bank to report the transaction and send it to Goodbudget. Oftentimes, banks have delays in clearing transactions over the weekend.
Goodbudget then asks Plaid (the service we use to create the connections between Goodbudget and your banks) if new transactions are available a few times each day. If your bank has marked transactions as cleared (which usually happens once a day), Plaid will be able to pick those items up and then send them to Goodbudget. If you notice that after transactions have cleared and there are missing or no transactions showing up, then please notify us via email at support@goodbudget.com so we can take a closer look at your Plaid connection.

I am also having the same issue of cleared transactions not showing up. I’m currently parallel testing GoodBudget with Monarch. Both use Plaid. My transactions are showing in Monarch, but not GoodBudget. I would really prefer to use GoodBudget as I like the layout of envelopes and the easy configuration and sharing with my partner, but if transactions are not going to show up timely, I’ll probably not move forward with GoodBudget. Is GoodBudget looking into this issue and have a timeline for resolution?
I had to get tech support involved. They had to force my connection to go through. I’m not entirely sure what that entailed,. but after they did it, my transactions posted. Tech support said that that solution usually is permanent, but if I have problems again, to let them know.
