Monthly total confusion

On the desktop version it says:

Monthly - with a total amount

When I add up my filled envelope amount it comes to way more than that.

Am I wrong in thinking that’s what the monthly total means?

If not where am I going wrong.

The amount you’re seeing SHOULD be the total money in all the monthly envelopes. That plus your Available equals the total overall, shown at the top. Since we’re just seeing a piece of your budget, it’s hard to draw conclusions but it should represent the aggregate total of money assigned (not budgeted). Does this number update if you refresh the page or log out/in again? Are there other envelopes out of view that might help enlighten the issue?
