Interface Question

Hello,
I would like to know how the budget is supposed to work when I have it start on the first of the month, but I get a transaction that is from a previous month, usually right at the end of the month it get recorded when my budget has reset for the month. This is confusing as I have 2 bills that are due on the 30th and they do not clear bank until the 2nd or so and that means that when the 30th comes around for the new month it is going to be placed into the same envelope and that makes my budget higher as it is only due once a month and I have already put a transaction there. Any advice would be helpful
