Totally new here and a little overwhelmed. I have figured out most of my issues.
I make extra payments every month to a loan I have. It goes directly to principle. It is a different amount every month so I can’t just schedule a transaction. How do I add it and allocate it?
What I would do is set up a recurring payment in addition to your regular payment, but just schedule it for a penny. When you actually make the extra payment, choose “Pay Now” and change the amounts to show the total principle and zero interest. Those fields can be changed for each entry, they just default to what Goodbudget believes your principle and interest would be at the rate you’ve entered.
