I need to confirm two debt payments that came through via Bank Sync. I know these transactions have to be recorded as a debt; however, the Debt tab is not appearing in the confirm transaction popup/screen.
I do not recall previously having to delete these Bank Sync transactions and then create new transactions under Debt. For a refresher, is that what I need to do?
I could have sworn the Debt tab was always made available in the Bank Sync confirm transaction screen as suggested in my image below.
Thanks for your post! Debt Transactions and Accounts aren’t compatible with Bank Sync, so you’ll need to delete automatically imported debt payment and recreate it as a manually recorded Debt Transaction.
I think this is a good thing to add as a feature. A lot of expense transactions that come over in a sync are to pay off existing debts. I know it would help me.
Are there any plans to add this feature? It’s been missing for a couple years and it feels pretty tedious to have to redo something that’s automatic…especially when I’m paying $80/year. I end up just not tracking debt and treating debt payments as bills.
Hey there – Sorry for our delay! Goodbudget’s Bank Sync features were just released a few months ago, so this particular issue would have only arisen since then. In any case, we are currently thinking about how we might solve this problem, so that logging automatically imported debt transactions is easier.
