Credit card connection

I feel like my credit connection is off. There was a message a couple days ago about it. I haven’t done anything to fix it but I want to. At first I thought it was because my bc number was turned off due to a fraud charge but that doesn’t make sense bc the plaid connection goes to the account using a logon and password which is still active.

How should I try to fix this?

@rachael_meehan Sorry for the trouble!

If your card number changed due to fraud activity, that will result in a broken connection. You can read more about that in the third section of this article.

You can fix that by unlinking your existing bank connection and creating a new one. Here’s how you can create a new connection on the website:

  • Click to the “Add/Edit” button on the Accounts tab
  • Click “Edit” next to the Goodbudget Account that’s connected to the affected institution
  • Click “Unlink Account” > “Add Bank Connection”
  • When you’re redirected back to the “Add/Edit” screen, click the “Link to Bank Account” dropdown to select the bank account associated with your new connection
  • When you’re done, be sure to save your changes

Hope that helps!
