Bank sync transfers staying in Transactions to Confirm list

Maybe I’m not doing something right, but my account transfers (including credit card payments) won’t disappear from my Transactions to Confirm list. Here’s what I’m doing.

  1. First, I have bank sync turned on, so my transactions automatically appear in Goodbudget. (I love that feature!!)
  2. An account transfer initially shows up as 2 transactions, a debit in one account an a credit in the other one.
  3. I pick one of the two transactions and mark it as a Transfer, then select the account that it was transferred to/from. That results in both halves of the transfer showing as separate entries in the Transactions to Confirm list, both with check marks in the Status column.
  4. I delete the second of the original two transactions because it’s now redundant.

That matches the steps that I saw in the discussion topic of “Bank Sync Account Transfer,” but what wasn’t discussed there is the fact that the two halves of the Transfer transaction continue to show up in the Transactions to Confirm list. I don’t see a way to “confirm” them to clear them off the list. Everything looks correct when I open the transactions, so I don’t know what my options are at this point. My list of Transactions to Confirm is now bloated with these transfers that are finished.

Hi Steve – Thanks for your post and sorry for the trouble! When you confirm a Transfer on the Confirm screen, the transaction should continue to appear as a single line item on that screen. It will, however, become two separate line items in your regular Transactions via (i.e. on the Home page).
