Available balance not updating my previous income values

I’m scratching my head here. 2 months ago, I added my income into the Available balance but did not allocate any of them into my envelopes. And last month’s salary have also been added to the Available balance. However, when I allocate the Available balance to my envelopes today, I noticed that my Available balance becomes negative. When I checked the income records, it seems either last month’s salary or the previous month’s salary was not included in the Available balance. I tried deleting the Envelope Transfers and the incomes and enter them again, but the Available balance remains the same, which is short of one month’s income. How can I correct this?

I have also checked previous months’ salary to match the Envelope Transfers and they all match just fine.

I would start in the Accounts section. It sounds as if one of your incomes wasn’t recorded; maybe you overlooked checking the “schedule this” button, or a too-infrequent schedule was chosen.

If all the incomes are recorded and your account balance matches your bank balance, then the money in your Envelopes (all allocated plus Available) should add up to the same value. Is that not what you’re seeing?

I don’t schedule my incomes because it varies from month to month, and so I enter them manually every month. I don’t know why but there is a negative value the same as my July salary. To check if it actually is my clerical error, I downloaded a history copy, deleted this year’s transaction and painstakingly rewritten them back one by one from the history copy (this is the reason for my late reply). And now the error is gone! I am able to allocate the salary as usual and no longer have negative Available balance.

I don’t know which part went wrong, I deleted and re-entered my transactions for this year and the balance becomes correct. It’s solved now but I still don’t know the cause.
