Apologies if this was asked already, but i tried going through all the threads and didn’t see anything specific for it.
I’ve had GoodBudget for 10+ years now and I just started using the auto sync option. It seems to be working with my bank accounts, but for some reason it doesn’t work with my Capital One credit cards. I have two of them and although they both show a lightning bolt next to them, they don’t seem to ever be syncing transactions.
For clarity, I’ve waited over a week after transactions have fully posted on the Capital One website (not just pending) and I’ve also tried unlinking and relinking the accounts and that didn’t work either.
Has anyone else had this problem specifically with Capital One?
Sorry for the trouble there! Goodbudget uses Plaid to connect to banks, and it looks like Plaid has a known issue with connecting to Capital One (https://www.capitalone.com/), where some users are encountering errors with new connections and/or background updates on existing items. According to Plaid, it’s likely to get prioritized by their engineering team, but unfortunately they have not published an estimated date for a fix.
If you email us at support [at] goodbudget.com with your Goodbudget username, we can identify the Plaid item id that you’re having trouble with, and then use that to follow the Plaid known issue in order to let them know we care to see it resolved.
In the mean time, you can enter data into Goodbudget manually one transaction at a time or by using manual import.
